Position Description:

This position provides peer coaching, navigation and consultation to individuals and/or families involved in the behavioral health recovery system. The peer specialist serves as a liaison with clients served, department team members and the community. Ability to carry out rehabilitative and support functions independently, as well as function as an integral member of the team.

Full Time Position - M-F 8am - 5pm

Position Requirements:

  • Personal experience with the behavioral health delivery system and recovery system of care;
  • The Peer Specialist must have firsthand experience with recovery (i.e. the ideal person will personally be in recovery).
  • Must have reliable transportation to provide services in the community and be eligible to drive company vehicles (Valid Florida Driver's License with 3 year clean driving record)

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
